Tea Ceremony with Kiki - 'Coming Home to Quiet'

An invitation to return to quiet as a place where we can feel at home. Through the simple practice of sharing tea, we bring our attention to the warmth of the bowl, the sound of water, our breath, and the small movements of serving and receiving. As the Moon wanes, we take its rhythm as a gentle reminder to slow down and make space. For a little while, we can set aside our tasks and expectations, allowing this moment to be enough. Together, we will sit, drink tea, and listen ~ giving ourselves time to settle and feel at home in our own presence.

Community Ecologies - 'Rethinking Colour in a Changing Climate' by Karolina Suchanek

Join Karolina Suchanek for a hands-on natural dye workshop exploring how colour is shaped by shifting ecologies, seasons and plant life.
Through a guided making session, participants will experiment with plant-based dyes. Blending craft, conversation and material exploration, the workshop invites participants to reflect on their relationship with nature and imagine more intentional ways of making. No experience needed.
Karolina Suchanek is a textile designer and founder of Cave Textiles. Her practice is rooted in intuition, spirituality, feminine energy and ancient making, using plant dyeing to connect with the natural world. She trained at the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych in Kraków and in Textile Design at Central Saint Martins, London.

Cave Textiles is thrilled to invite the amazing musician Juliet Merchant to host this special workshop — the very first to be held in our studio. We can't wait to share the space, some delicious tea, and a practice of listening together.
Open to everyone, with no prior experience required. This workshop offers an introduction to Pauline Oliveros' text scores and the practice of Deep Listening. Together, we will explore and perform a selection of scores before reflecting on our experiences through an open group discussion. Whether you are a musician, artist, or simply curious, all are welcome.

Juliet Merchant is an award-winning composer and pianist whose scores for Soviet silent films have premiered at MoMA, La Cinémathèque Française, and Institut Français, with her work on The House on the Volcano earning an "outstanding" review from The Guardian. She holds a Master's from Oxford and is completing a PhD in Composition at King's College London.
