CARE
Each Cave Textiles piece is made by hand using natural materials and botanical dyes. Slight variations in tone, texture, finish and measurement are part of the nature of the process and make each garment unique. We see these variations as a reflection of the garment’s making.

Different fabrics and constructions require different care. By following the guidance below, you can help preserve the life, colour and character of your piece.

BOTANICALLY DYED COTTON / LINEN / HEMP
These pieces are dyed by hand using plant-based pigments, which can produce subtle shifts in tone and depth across the cloth. This variation is a natural part of the process.

Wash only when needed. Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent. We recommend a refillable laundry liquid. Avoid harsh stain removers or strong detergents.

BOTANICALLY DYED DENIM
Our denim pieces are hand dyed, and each one will carry slight variations in colour and surface character that reflect the dyeing process.

Wash only when needed. Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C with a mild detergent. The wool felted label acts as a quiet indication of the garment’s recommended 30°C care.

As with all botanically dyed pieces, gentle shifts in tone over time are part of the life of the garment.

WOOL / FELTED WOOL DETAILS
Wool elements and felted finishes should be treated with care, as they may respond differently to washing than the main cloth.

Wash gently at 30°C using a mild detergent, or hand wash in cool water where preferred. Avoid aggressive rubbing, twisting or high heat, as this may affect the texture and shape.

HANDMADE SHIRTS / OVERSIZED COTTON STYLES
Our shirts are cut for ease and everyday wear, with subtle variations that come from the handmade process.

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle or hand wash with mild detergent. Reshape lightly after washing if needed.


JACKETS / OUTER LAYERS
Our jackets are designed for longevity and often do not need frequent washing. Spot clean carefully where possible, and wash only when necessary.

If washing is needed, use a gentle 30°C wash with mild detergent. Avoid harsh products that may disturb the botanical dye or the texture of the cloth.

GENERAL NOTES
Botanical dyes naturally carry variation and may soften or evolve gently with time and wear. This is not considered a fault, but part of the character of the garment.
